Almerimar is a beautiful town and as soon as you drive down the approach from the motorway you will be impressed by the well-kept roundabouts and roads. It is literally an oasis of green and wonderful colours.

Almerimar has a 1,000 berth marina and yacht club. Sailing and windsurfing are possible all year round and tuition is available for the novice. The clear Mediterranean water makes it an excellent venue for snorkelling and scuba-diving.
For golfers there is the 27-hole Almerimar Golf Course and also La Envia a little further away. The Almerimar course has wide fairways and well maintained greens, and was completely refurbished in 2005 when improvements were made including new bunkers, elevated tees and all holes extended. It also has a generous practise area with a chipping green with 3 exercise holes and a putting green with 9 exercise holes. |

The landmark hilltop village of Mojacar Pueblo, with its distinctive houses, labyrinth of narrow street and Bohemian character is another major attraction. |
For those interested in wildlife, there is the Cabo de Gata Natural Park which is a fascinating landscape cocktail of arid desert, volcanic mountains, jagged sea cliffs, sand dunes, wetlands and lagoon and sandy hidden coves.
